Membership
The Young Okinawans of Southern California was founded in 1996 and is a subcommittee of the Okinawan Association of American, Inc., a non-profit organization. The YOSC is intended for OAA members who are ages 16 to 40. The YOSC organizes activities for Young Adults, Young Families, and Young Professionals.
The YOSC does participate in and sends delegates to the Uchinanchu Festivals held in Okinawan and Hawaii. We will be coordinating for members to attend the next Hawaiian Okinawa Uchnianchu Taikai being held in September 2007.
We hope to have many events throughout Southern California with special benefits for YOSC members. Please take a look at our Upcoming and Past Events.
