It's that time of year so join us for a spooktacular Halloween party that even the undead won't want to miss. It's full on Halloween fun with spooky treats, creepy music, and a costume contest. From old-school games such as bobbing for apples to modern ones such as pumpkin bowling and Halloween Jeopardy. (If you enjoyed Okinawan Jeopardy, you're gonna love Halloween Jeopardy!)

2nd session (6:00pm - 6:30pm) Update on oral history project
The OAA is sponsoring an oral history project which is supported by the OAA Culture Committee. The main purpose of the project is to archive and record the history of the interviewee's personal life experiences during their lives in Okinawa/America. The first group of interviewees will consist of 70+ years old people who will record their life experience during WWII in the Battle of Okinawa. Volunteers will help conduct the oral history interviews.

Real kabuto display, karate demonstrations, arts and crafts, Puppet Show, free souvenir photographs and a TACO RICE* cooking demonstration---all for the KIDS! Young Okinawans of So. CA (YOSC) is putting on their second Family Day-themed program. Bring your grandchildren, nephews and nieces, kids and friends to this Uchinanchu-inspired program.
*Taco Rice is a Mexican/Japanese mix that was created in Okinawa recently. YUM-MY!
Meeting and Exchange with a Young Adults Business Association from Okinawa

12 businesspersons from all over Okinawa will be in LA for a short visit. Their wish is to meet and have an exchange with overseas uchinanchu, especially of the 20s and 30s age group (that's us!), to learn about life in southern California. All interested persons are encouraged to join us and share the uchinanchu spirit--American style!
